Terms and conditions

How you buy lessons here, what you can expect from us, and how to change your mind.

Terms version 1.0, in force from 17 September 2026.

1. WHO PROVIDES THE SERVICE

The services described here are provided by IN POLISH - kursy jezykowe Edyta Juszczyszyn, ul. Energetyczna 10A/13, 53-330 Wroclaw, Poland, NIP 616-106-02-69, REGON 020849671, referred to below as the School.

Contact: [email protected], telephone +48 609 690 086.

These terms set out how contracts are concluded through inpolish.edu.pl and how lessons work. We publish them free of charge before you buy anything, in a form you can download, save and print.

2. WHO CAN BUY

1. You must be of full age and legal capacity to conclude a contract.

2. Lessons for anybody under eighteen are ordered by their parent or legal guardian, who is the party to the contract.

3. The provisions about Consumers also apply to a sole trader who concludes a contract that is not directly connected with their professional activity, under art. 38a of the Polish consumer rights act.

3. WHAT WE OFFER

1. Individual lessons in Polish as a foreign language, of 60 or 90 minutes.

2. Lessons in pairs, called duets, priced per pair.

3. Group courses with a fixed schedule and a fixed number of hours.

4. Courses preparing for the Polish state certificate examination.

5. Training for teachers of Polish.

6. Lessons take place online or in person in Wroclaw. Which one is stated in the description of the offer.

7. On group courses an academic hour is 45 minutes, and that is how their length is counted. Individual lessons are quoted in minutes.

4. YOUR ACCOUNT

1. You need an account to book times.

2. The details you give must be true and current. The email address you register is where confirmations, reminders and links to online lessons are sent.

3. You can delete your account at any time by writing to [email protected]. Deleting it does not forfeit lessons you have paid for and not used; those are settled under clause 12.

5. HOW THE CONTRACT IS CONCLUDED

1. You choose an offer, give the details needed to deliver it, and accept these terms.

2. The button that completes the order is clearly marked with words stating that it carries an obligation to pay.

3. The contract is concluded at the moment the payment succeeds.

4. Immediately afterwards we email you a confirmation of the contract as a PDF. It records what you ordered, the version of these terms you accepted, the notice of your right to withdraw, and a model withdrawal form. The same confirmation can be downloaded from your account at any time.

6. PRICES AND PAYMENT

1. All prices are in Polish zloty (PLN) and include every applicable tax.

2. Prices shown in euro (EUR) are for information and are converted at the current rate. The charge is made in zloty unless the offer says otherwise.

3. Payments are handled by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. The School has no access to your card details and does not store them.

4. Payment is made in advance, before lessons begin.

5. Discount codes work on the conditions stated with the code. They do not combine with each other unless the code says so.

6. We issue an invoice on request. Ask in your account or by email, with your invoicing details.

7. LESSON PACKS AND HOW LONG THEY LAST

1. A pack is a number of lessons of a stated length, paid for in advance.

2. Lessons of 60 and of 90 minutes are counted separately. A credit from a 60-minute pack cannot be used for a 90-minute lesson, or the other way round.

3. The expiry date of a pack is stated when you buy it and in your confirmation. We send a reminder before it arrives.

4. If you ask before the date passes we may extend the pack, by up to 30 days. We decide case by case, taking into account the kind of course and the reason the lessons did not happen, such as illness, travel or another unforeseen event.

5. If the pack is not extended, or you still do not use it, the unused lessons are not forfeited. They are settled under clause 12.

8. BOOKING, CANCELLING AND MISSED LESSONS

1. You book times yourself, in your teacher's calendar, out of the pack you have paid for.

2. Cancelling at least 24 hours before the lesson starts is free. The lesson returns to your pack and you can book it again.

3. Cancelling later than 24 hours before, or not turning up, means the lesson counts as used. The teacher held that time for you and can no longer offer it to somebody else.

4. Your teacher waits 15 minutes from the start time. After that the lesson counts as given.

5. If the School or the teacher cancels, we offer another time. If none of them suits you, the lesson returns to your pack.

6. The School may change the teacher who runs a course, and will tell you beforehand. If you do not accept the change you may end the contract under clause 12, at no extra cost.

9. GROUP COURSES

1. A course starts if the minimum number of participants stated in its description is reached.

2. If the group does not fill, we tell you at the latest 3 days before the planned start and refund everything you paid within 14 days.

3. The schedule is published before you buy. We give notice of any change that cannot be avoided.

4. Group lessons are given to the whole group, so missing one does not entitle you to a refund or to a replacement lesson. We do send you the materials from it.

10. ONLINE LESSONS

1. For an online lesson you need a computer or phone with a camera, a microphone and a stable internet connection.

2. The link to the meeting is in your account and in the reminder email.

3. If a lesson does not happen for technical reasons on the side of the School or the teacher, it returns to your pack.

4. We do not record lessons without the agreement of both sides.

11. YOUR RIGHT TO WITHDRAW

1. If you are a Consumer you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of concluding it, without giving any reason.

2. An unambiguous statement is enough, for example an email to [email protected]. You may use the form attached to your order confirmation, but you do not have to. Sending the statement before the deadline is enough to keep it.

3. We refund everything you paid without undue delay, and in any event within 14 days of receiving your statement, by the same means you used to pay. It costs you nothing.

4. At checkout you may separately ask us to begin the lessons before the withdrawal period is over. If you do, and then withdraw, you pay for the lessons that took place up to that moment, in proportion to what was provided. Once the service has been fully performed the right to withdraw is gone.

5. The right to withdraw does not apply to a business concluding a contract directly connected with its commercial activity, subject to clause 2.3.

12. ENDING THE CONTRACT AND SETTLING UP AFTER THE 14 DAYS

1. You can stop individual lessons or a pack at any time.

2. It is settled like this: the lessons already given are charged at the single-lesson price that applied on the day you bought, and the rest of what you paid is returned. A volume discount is earned by the pack you use, not by the part of it you do not.

3. You may leave a group course on one month's notice. The lessons falling within that month are charged.

4. The refund is made within 14 days, by the same means you paid.

13. GIFT VOUCHERS

1. A voucher is worth the number of lessons, of the length, printed on it.

2. Its expiry date is on the voucher and in the email that carries it.

3. It is redeemed by the person who received it, by creating an account and entering the code.

4. Vouchers are not exchangeable for cash. This does not limit the buyer's right to withdraw under clause 11.

14. COMPLAINTS

1. Send a complaint to [email protected], saying what it concerns and what you would like done.

2. We answer within 14 days of receiving it.

3. As a Consumer you may also go to a municipal or district consumer ombudsman, or use the out-of-court dispute schemes run by the regional Trade Inspection authorities.

15. MATERIALS AND COPYRIGHT

1. The materials given out during lessons are for your own use on the course.

2. They may not be copied, published or distributed outside the course.

3. The School does not make textbooks or third-party copyrighted material publicly available.

16. PERSONAL DATA

The School is the controller of your personal data. The privacy policy has the detail. We process it mainly in order to perform this contract (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to meet tax and accounting obligations (art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). Consent to marketing email is optional, is never a condition of buying, and can be withdrawn at any time.

17. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

1. We may change these terms for good reason: a change in the law, a change in how the service is delivered, or security.

2. We give notice by email at least 14 days before a change takes effect.

3. Contracts concluded earlier stay under the terms as they read on the day they were concluded. Your order confirmation names the version you accepted.

4. If you do not accept a change you may end the contract before it takes effect, and we settle up under clause 12.

18. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

1. This contract is governed by Polish law. That choice does not deprive a Consumer of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where they habitually live.

2. Disputes with a Consumer are heard by the court with general jurisdiction.

3. Disputes with a business are heard by the court for the School's registered seat.

19. WHEN THESE TERMS APPLY

Version 1.0 is in force from 17 September 2026 and governs contracts concluded from that day.
